Meetings |
Our final meeting is VERY important as I will be giving you important information regarding hotels,
packing, collecting forms and tip money (cash only), etc. Please mark your calendars for March 11 @ 6PM in the Chorus Room. Students and parents should both try to attend. |
Forms |
----EVERY TRAVELER needs to fill out the Medical Form attached and bring completed on the March 11 meeting.
All other forms attached need to be completed for any student under the age of 18 when we travel. ---EVERY TRAVELER also needs to bring a color copy of his/her passport to the March 11 meeting. (It is also a very good idea to keep one at home in a place an emergency contact can access for when you travel.) |
Currency Exchange |
It's a good idea to check into setting a travel notice for your bank and ordering Euros (Austria and Germany) and Czech Crowns (Czech Republic). Airports have a very high exchange rate, therefore I suggest converting at least some to get you started once we hit the group. EF Tours recommends having about $50-60 per day to cover lunch and souvenir expenses. The exchange rate at your own bank will more than likely be a great one and the process is usually easy and completed online. Although some tourist places in the Czech Republic will accept the Euro, many local places (for example, where you may want to eat for lunch) may not accept them so make sure to have some crowns on hand as well.
Debit card use is more accepted internationally, but often requires an international fee attached. Traveler's Checks are NOT recommended. |
